Architectural woodwork that gives the room a center

This family room needed more than isolated decorative features. The custom oak beams, linear fireplace surround and entertainment wall were developed as one composition, creating warmth, scale and a clear visual center for the room.

The beams introduce the character of solid wood without the structural weight of solid timbers. Integrated dimmable uplighting adds soft, indirect light and gives the ceiling detail a second purpose after dark.

Designed as part of the architecture

Material, proportions, gusset details, lighting and the surrounding fireplace elements were considered together so the finished work would feel original to the room, not added afterward.
