A warm modern table with a story beneath the surface
Meadowbrook II pairs a book-matched solid walnut top with a handcrafted crossed wood base. The result is warmer and more sculptural than a conventional four-legged coffee table, with enough character to anchor a seating area without dominating it.
The walnut was recovered from a fallen tree near Rochester Golf and Country Club on the Meadow Brook estate. The material’s local history is preserved in a piece intended for an entirely new chapter of use.
The table shown measures 24 by 43 inches and is currently available. Similar pieces can be commissioned in dimensions and materials selected for your room.
Strength where you do not see it
The crossed base is joined and reinforced for long-term stability. Concealed steel channels strengthen the solid walnut top while allowing the wood to respond naturally to seasonal changes.
