The Mid Century Modern “Cross” Table
A table designed to bring people together
This mid century modern design is a slight variation of Marc Spagnuolo’s iconic design. A dining table becomes part of daily family life. It hosts quick breakfasts, long dinners, holidays, homework and conversations that continue after the plates are cleared. The Cross Dining Table was designed to provide a strong, comfortable center for all of it.
Its Mid Century Modern character comes from clean proportions and a sculptural crossed base. The solid Walnut construction gives the table warmth and presence without making the room feel heavy.
The table shown measures 74 by 42 inches. A related piece can be designed around the size of your room, the number of people you want to seat and the wood and finish that best suit your home.
Built for years of gathering
The crossed base uses carefully fitted joinery with a contrasting walnut spline. Concealed steel mounting plates, threaded inserts and machine bolts create a secure connection while allowing the solid top to move naturally with seasonal changes.
